Terms of Service

Athena Online is a free, work-in-progress game. Features, balance, items and progress may change, and things may break. We may need to reset, roll back or remove game data (for example characters, items or Republic Points) to fix bugs or rebalance the game. The site is provided "as is", without guarantees that it will always be available or error-free.

• Give a working email address and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
• One person per account, and one character per account for now.
• Don't pick usernames, display names or character names that impersonate staff or other people, or that are offensive.

Be decent to other players. When using the forum, chat, profiles or comments, don't:

• Harass, threaten, or post hateful or sexually explicit content.
• Spam, advertise, or post links to malware or scams.
• Post other people's personal information.
• Post content you don't have the right to share.

• Don't cheat, use bots or automation, or exploit bugs to gain an advantage. If you find a bug, please report it on the forum.
• Don't try to access other players' accounts or data, or attack or overload the site.

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting it on Athena Online, you allow us to store it, display it on the site and keep it as needed to run the community (for example, quoted in other people's replies).

Items and Republic Points are part of the game. They have no real-world value, can't be exchanged for money, and aren't your property. Athena Online doesn't currently sell anything for real money.

Site administrators may edit or remove content, and may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or harm the game or community.

We may update these terms. If the change matters, we'll let players know, for example in a forum announcement. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the new terms.
